Photographer's Note

Picure I took the same day as my Jacques Cartier bridge photo of Montreal, later on and a little bit further on the bridge toward the southshore. I've cropped at the bottom and sharpened a bit to add noise wich I think increased the effect on the buildings contrasting with the sky, any comment will be appreciated.

Beautiful shot, Pierre. The silhouette of the city is excellent and I like the rich band of colours just behind it. Nicely framed too - with the large area of blue sky. Well captured.

Bonjour Pierre

Great silhouette from this famous Quebecois city. The blue & orange go well together. I would dodge the sky a little in the bottom left cnr to accentuate the buildings more. Tres bon!

The dark part on the for ground with the silhouette of the city, together with the imminent sky and the different colour tints, gives a great composition Pierre. lovely frame too.

Je la trouve bonne Pierre, les couleurs sont belles et bien rendues. Le grain est un peu dérangeant, mais si sans lui les édifices sont moins visibles, il est acceptable. J'aime les proportions de l'image qui sort du cadre 1/3.

Le titre de "silhouette" correspond parfaitement avec l'effet du cliché. C'est très réussi, belles couleurs dans le ciel aussi. Une bonne idée de photo Pierre !

An appealing blending from the light blue sky down to the dark silouette of the city with the softness of the sunset between the two.Just a question of personal taste but I find blue of outside frame steals something from the mood of the image.

Good use of the low horizon with the city's skyline against the color spectacle in the sky. The huge blue space above works very well, too. I'm not sure the noise was necessary to have a more contrasting appearance, but in any case it is not disturbing. Very nice work, Pierre.

Un très beau regard sur la ville avec ces immeubles, qui se profilent, telles des ombres chinoises se détachant sur ce fond de ciel merveilleux.

A beautiful silhouette with a wonderful array of horizontal color lines. I like the large area of blue sky above this dramatic sunset scene. Very well done, Pierre.

It's beautiful, Pierre, how the sky is gradually changing from deep blue to 'burning' orange. The clouds help create drama to the sky. The city silhouette is well placed in the frame and take up a sufficient amount of space. The skyline is then completed by the hill to the right, transcending out of the buildings. Well seen and very well executed!

Salut Pierre :)

Avec la silhouette de la ville qui se dessine à l'horizon, la colline dans son prolongement et ce somptueux ciel, la composition est superbe. J'adore tout particulièrement le contraste entre le bleu pur du ciel et la fine couche de nuage au reflets oranges et ors. Le cadrage est aussi excellent, laissant beaucoup de place au ciel et offrant par la même une ambiance très aérienne à la photo. Bravo, Pierre. Très belle réalisation.

PS : Je me suis permis un WS afin de retirer l'UNIQUE défaut : le léger bruit dans le ciel. Le reste étant parfait, je n'ai rien altéré d'autre. J'espère que le résultat te conviendra.
