Photographer's Note
This photo was taken under a beating rain, on the esplanade of the Frontenac Castle in Quebec. The original one being color, I transformed it into b/w with the goal to reflect the nostalgia I had while returning to this place that I left more than 6 years to come live in Switzerland.

This is really nice. I like the wet boards and the water droplets on the benches. The perspective is a bit diffrent but effective. Really god.

This image is magnificent and I can say to you that in 2003, nothing changed. I like very much the angle of the photo, the rain which makes shine boards and this small winged person. Very well made a success the N&B version.
Cette image est superbe et je peux vous dire qu'en 2003, rien n'a changé. J'aime beaucoup l'angle de la photo, la pluie qui fait briller les planches et ce petit personnage ailé. Très bien réussie la version N&B.

The general feeling is sadness, which is not so far from nostalgia. BW was a very good choice as it fits nicely to the wet ground. Congratulations !

I love it!! Great building, great reflections, great picture!!!!!!
I think that a more dramatic sky could improuve the results (maybe with filters...).
2nd thought: keep right as it is!! now i read you lines and get the "Nostalgia" idea..so i think the sky is right as it should be!!

Intéressant en N&B , c'est un bon cadrage , pas mal l'endroit et avec la pluie c'est parfait . Une ambiance etrange aussi .

Very nice and pleasant documentary shot Louy. I really like how you captured the boarder floor here, the diagonals in it work perfectly as a guide for the viewer to look at picture... From the benches all the way up to the towers, good use of reflection as well.

Grande foto, a harmonia das cadeiras (detalhe das duas primeiras viradas ao contrário), as tábuas (note em primeiro plano os pregos) e as lixeiras, faz o belíssimo conjunto arquitetônico atuar como coadjuvante na composição fotográfica.

A wonderful capture of a rainy day. Very fine B&W low key. All the lines and rows of things make a very strong perspective which makes the castle into a secondary object.

L'alignement donne une belle perspective à ta photo.
Bonne profondeur de champ.
Quelle bonne idée le chateau sous la pluie, on le voit si souvent sous la neige ou le soleil.

Cette photo est un pure plaisir pour l'oeil. Parfaitement d'accord avec Isabeau, il fait bon de le voir sous la pluie ! Les variations de ton sont très intéressant.

très belle photo impressionniste comme celles de Doisneau. Beauc cadrage, fuyantes dynamiques, pierres d'un côté et bois de l'autre, et le ciel pas trop écrasant mais bien équilibré avec le reste. Vite, un bon thé avec des scones...
