Photographer's Note
Just inside BC's border with Alberta lies the small town of Field.
A short distance outside of Field towards Emerald Lake is this naturally occurring bridge aptly named 'Natural Bridge'. The forces of the Kicking Horse River have worn away the softer rock under the limestone which now makes up the bridge.
I hope you like the shot,
- Dan

Nice shot Dan, beautifully composed around a well-known local landmark. It's unfortunate that the light wasn't on your side, but you certainly mastered well the technicals.

Hi Dan,
this is really great shot. Scenery is just outstanding with excellent sharpness and clarity. You have managed to get very good light as well. Nicely captured overall, I like it.

Hello Dan,
Beau paysage avec une composition très bonne avec une profondeur extra et des contrastes très bon également,j'aurais peut être mis une petite pose longue pour donner un aspect a l'eau un peu plus doux, mais j'aime quand même ta version, bravo.
Bye

Hi Dan:
I remember when I went here being underwhelmed by the size of the natural bridge (I went to school in Utah, home of the greatest arches and natural bridges in the world), but quite impressed by the scenery and the beauty of the scene. Your shot is great, even though the light doesn't appear to have been ideal. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Dan,
A very impressive landscape! Well-chosen and balanced composition. It is very hard to estimate the dimensions of the bridge (at first I estimated it way too small, but then I saw the tree), but that makes it in fact more interesting.

Hi Dan,
I like it - have stood there too and have yet to get a good shot of this place - I shall try again next time I am by that way. Great perspective and very well managed light. Good shot and TFS. Gerald

Hey Dan, long time no see! How are you?
I just came back from a short trip in BC and Alberta! It was beautiful there!! Everything was still frozen and under the snow, but still, it was fun!
I like this shot! The light is not perfect (as in no glow coming from low sun), but actually, I think it gives your photo a good relaxing mood. The landscape is beautiful obviously! I like the high conifers and the nice blue sky so typical of high altitude places.
Nice setting!
Marc
