Photographer's Note

First snow of the winter (but it sure won't be the last!) at Lake O'Hara, in Yoho National Park. Lake O'Hara is directly to the west of Lake Louise, in fact, if you went over those mountains to the left you would be at Lake Louise. This shows the Lake O'Hara Lodge, a luxury hotel with separate cabins. Would have been nice to stay there considering it was below freezing, but we camped in a tent instead.

On good thing about shooting in the snow is that it is so bright you don't really need a tripod. This was f11, ISO 100 and it was still 1/320 second. I wish it was that easy all the time!
