Dragon or Snake?
This plate of mud belongs to the Museum of Place of Pomoná, in Tenosique, Tabasco, Mexico.
Explored recently, it has been identified as corresponding to the Late Classic horizon.
Here be an archaeological collection of the Mayan Culture, composed by trails, ceramic, etc.
About Pomoná:
Origin
Pomoná begins its development in the classic stage, reaching its maximum splendor in the late classic and decaying in the early postclásico. This Mayan archaeological place, it was discovered in 1959 by a group of peasants and bank employees, during an agricultural inspection. It is necessary to highlight that the name with the one that today this place is designated, it is modern. Pomoná is located in the basin of the Usumacinta, for it played it an important paper in the political and economic relationship of its region that it understands a portion of the Petén where was the point for which they passed producers and mercadores toward the coastal plain.
For my it seems a dragon, perhaps I think it because I like dragons, I would like to know their appreciations in this respect of the image. Thank you :)
