Theater Calderón. (In honor to the playwright Fernando Calderón)
Elegant French style. Inaugurated in May of 1887, is conditioned one of the most luxurious and better from Mexico.
Located in the center historico, Zacatecas (Cultural Patrimony of the Humanity, UNESCO, 1993).
The construction of this building began in 1832 and it finished in 1834, being presented shows of first size. After 33 years, the building was victim of a voracious fire. In May 5 of 1881, the first stone was placed, and with her began it the reconstruction works, the new building was concluded in 1887. The exterior presents three levels with arches of half point and columns stocking it shows (in this image 2 levels are presented); among the arches, it finishes off the work a railing and to the center a right fronton. The interior, of style art-nouveau is decorated by big mirrors framed in wood.
