Photographer's Note
I took this photo in the waiting room of a clinic that I was working in for several days in a remote part of Puebla in Mexico. I cropped the photo down to focus on the mother and daughter after noticing the disapproving look the mother is giving her daughter.

Very interesting expression on the faces of both, the mother and the daughter. But also, nice to see all those people around. Waiting? Do they wait long? People waiting are always good subject for photography. Too bad, I don't have the guts to do that in the waiting room of our Western hospitals. I think people would crush me or my camera for doing that. Last time, I went there, I wait 9 hours. I think my face would have spoke volumes if there had been a funny photographer around!
A very interesting piece of life, here! Keep them coming!

This is a nice everyday shot Elizabeth.
The picture is a little grainy, but this is what I like as it adds atmosphere to the shot. Nice lighting with warmth and a good level of detail and interest. The expression on the mother's face is quite emotive. Well captured.

Hi Elisabeth
Both main glances are very intense. I like very much discovering this room with all the persons who wait.
Very good journalistic photo.

I love to most photos of people. People are many more interesting for me than landscapes, architecture etc.. Your vertical photo pleases me very well. The composition is ideal. Also the expression of the waiting people is very natural. A beautiful and candic photo. Many greetings, Wolfgang. TFV

Photograph to study, to contemplate, to think about.
Face after face after face. Sleepy face, dumb face, oblivious face, inquiring face.
What 1/100 of a second can do to human face.
My favorite? Back row, elderly women looking straight and angry at you, Elizabeth. Sharp contours of her, Aztec' racy face.
Good stuff. INTERESTING STUFF

I can relate to this picture (I think many women can)...mothers seem to dissaprove of most things, especially when their daughters reach maturity. I do wonder what she was really thinking!
My favourite part of this picture is that all but one of them is female - it would have been great to have just women in here...
Always nice to see pictures from other women, as I feel they are subconciously expressive in ways that men would perhaps have missed.... A really nice mixed sea of faces, expressions and moods...

Elizabeth,
Excellent shot! The faces/emotions of the waiting women say it all, especially the younger woman staring into camera and her mother staring at her in that way that only mother can! Well composed and good colour. Only tiny quibble is the image is a little small, you can post up to 800 x 800.
Thanks and Well done!

Excellent photo, Elizabeth - if a little too grainy. You must have shot it in low light conditions. Facial expressions are superb!

I think that your first one is the best, whilst the two ladies at the front are the main people in the picture, there are many other people of interest that it is nice to see.
