Photographer's Note
Cotton-top Tamarins, Lincoln Park Zoo, Chicago, IL
Small primates, endangered, diurnal and arboreal, found mainly in the tropical rain forests, gallery forests and forest patches in savannas of N.W. Colombia. They live alone or in groups of three to nine, feed on insects, soft fruits, plant exudates, small vertebrates. Have acute eyesight, hearing and smell, perfect for hunting and detection of danger. Have long tails for balance, climbing and jumping. Cute, really, cute.
Difficult to photograph because they are always moving about in the dark exhibit enclave.
Just autolevels and unsharp mask.

A fine capture Ken. It looks like they both are intimidated by something to the left, or mabye it is just food. I'm not very good at animal expressions :). The black background works really good here.

Wow Ken, you caught a good one of these little creatures. I have a photo I took of the Tamarins also, but the glass and the lighting in their cage didn't work out for the photo. You did well on this one. It almost looks like a painting. The expression you captured on it's face is incredible. Very nicely done. Congratulations.
