Futuristic Chrysler Perspective, a photo from New York, Northeast

Voici une nouvelle image de mon building préféré, le Chrysler Building.
Cette fois, le grand angle (relatif : 28mm avec le facteur de conversion) a fait son oeuvre sur la perspective, produisant une improbable géométrie à 45° dans l'architecture, que je trouve futuriste.
J'ai redressé la perspective sur le building de gauche (situé au 425 Lexington Avenue, construit en 1987), mais je n'ai pas corrigé l'angle du Chrysler Building dans l'image.
Le traitement des couleurs a lui aussi pour but d'aller dans le sens d'une atmosphère futuriste, irréelle.

Here is a new image from my favourite building, Chrysler Building.
This time, the wide angle (28mm with the conversion factor) made its work on the perspective, producing improbable 45° angle in architecture geometry, which I find futuristic.
I've rectified the prospect on the building on the left (located at the 425 Lexington Avenue, built in 1987), but I have not corrected Chrysler Building angle in the image.
The color treatment was made to create a futuristic, unreal atmosphere.

Salut JB,
Je ne suis pas trop certaine en ce qui concerne l'angle de l'immmeuble. Je crois que j'aurais préféré une compo verticale pour accentuer l'impression de hauteur de celui-ci, mais c'est difficile à dire. Par contre, une chose est sûre: j'aime beaucoup le traitement que tu a fait sur cette image et la couleur un peu dorée du bâtiment sur la droite. La lumière du soleil en bas de l'image donne aussi une ambiance un peu futuriste.

This picture seems like it was taken directly out of a science fiction movie taking place in the far future. The brownish filter that you used (I assume) works well in this composition. The perspective is very original too. Well taken photo!

Je trouve le traitement de l'image très réussi ! Les reflets sur la façades sont superbes ! L'angle que forme le Chrysler Building est assez étrange mais il apporte un très bon dynamisme à l'image !
Bravo !

Comment as-tu fait pour ne corriger qu'une partie de la distorsion de l'image ?

Une ambiance très jeu vidéo d'il y a une dizaine d'année!!
un POV très original, permettant de bien voir tous les étages de la fusée, et superbe ce rayon laser qui vient illuminer la scène.
Une belle inspiration de ton building preféré.

The golden colour and the light reflecting on the building are awesome. The angle is very nice and add good dynamics to the shot. The low light and good saturation of soft colours give this image a good attraction. Great job JB.

Moi, je trouve que cette composition avec son traitement donne un résultat tout à fait conforme à ce tu voulais. C'est plaisant. On s'attend à voir surgir Batman dans Gotam City.

Yes, the Chrsler is my favorite building too, so 2 points for every photo of it. :) But this photo of yours deserved the points and the praise even if it wasn't the Chrysler. Love the gold tones here and the exaggerated perspective. Very futuristic, it reminds me some drawings of French sci-fi bd. I only miss the beautiful cupola of the building.

L'effet Hightech est bien rendu avec la facade couleur metalique or/silicium/cuivre et la géometrie des fenêtres. C'est un peu une avant premiére futuriste que l'on a devant soi, où le vaisseau d'Alien...

j'aime beaucoup le traitement "futuriste" que tu as donné à tes couleurs.Ca donne un côté très "métal" au Chrysler building. L'opposition des deux perspectives des deux batiments renforce ce côté étrange : c'est bien vu.Enfin, j'adore la couleur du ciel, un peu fin du monde...

Pour moi c'est une image originale du Chrysler bâtiment. Je ne l'ai vu jamais ainsi, et il me plaît beaucoup. J'aime la force de la perspective, et la sensation de transformation: le batiment devenu flêche. Les couleurs sont magnifiques et le rayon de lumière sur le gris ciel... très beau! Merveilleux!

il faut avoir un sacré sens du graphisme pour arriver à sortir ce genre de photo. J'avoue être épaté. Tout colle impeccablement bien avec cette ambiance futuriste dont tu parles. Même le Chrysler pourrait s'apparenter à une fusée. J'aime beaucoup également l'esprit BD que ta photo procure. Bravo

very well captured and unusually framed shot of this well-known building. The idea is very good 'cause gives us a completely different perspective of it. I also like the light treatment, which creates this dark and, as you said, futuristic mood, in vogue nowadays.

Tes posts de New York sont franchement canon. Ici, le tilt est extrême (il fallait l'oser) mais il va bien. Le PP des couleurs est excellent (c'est quoi ton secret ?) et ce à quoi tu aboutis est impressionnant. Bravo.

I can see why this is your favourite building. The tilt here works very well, and I am glad you included the smidge of building on the left to provide good balance. The prevailing tones of the sky co-ordinate well with the exterior of the Chrysler building. Well conceived and executed, JB. Cheers.

mélange de styles architecturaux, tous pointent insolemment vers le ciel avec la 'à qui le plus haut'.
Très fiction, vue à la 'bladerunner', cette ville n'en n'est pas moins réelle.

Bonsoir JB,
Je suis déjà revenu, et me mets au jour dans mes critiques.
Tu as fait un grand travail graphique en jouant avec la distorsion produite par le grand angle, qui donne une forte perspective oblique, et en redressant les verticales du building de la main gauche. Cela crée un effet spectaculaire.
Et, bien sûr, la beauté de cette merveille du Chrysler Building, aussi mon préféré de NY, il complète une composition magnifique, avec des tons et quelques tissures très spéciales, qui donnent une touche irréelle à l'image.
Une belle photo.

You've shown a new way of showing this oft photographed landmark. While the golden colour and the light reflecting on the building is fantastic, what steals the show for me is the diagonal perspective...you're right it gives a definite futuristic feel.
