Photographer's Note
Yeah! One more lunar eclipse shot from today. My camera isn't great, this is just an amateurish attempt at capturing the eclipse at below freezing temperature! :)
Hope that you'll enjoy this.
I took 4 shots at different stages of the eclipse and put them together in one canvas. The exposures on the four shots shots were different since light was fading. The last one had the longest exposure.

Hello Shaeri,
I have to praise you for professional presentation of your work which you claimed to be amateurish.
The sharpness is brilliant and the phases are very well written in this picture. Thanks for sharing and best regards,

Hi Shaeri
I am impressed. What did you say your work is? Physics?
This is a great work and you thought well to take 4 shots and blend it nicely here. This is great photo editing.
Can I now enrol in your photography class?

Hi Shaeri,
You are not amateurish in doing this work.
The professional sense is well visible here. I admit, you are one among the most appreciated photographers having sensible images in here.
EXCELLENT image, well executed, dear friend.
Admire the sincere heart in you.

Good work ! I like your presentation and the colors. It is the good way to present this event.
The sharpness is not excellent but it is not easy view to the distance ! ;-)

It's a great attempt Shaeri. This simple image of four stages of a lunar eclipse really stands out in the thumbnail. Thats because you have used a bit of creativity and produced four images as one. Very well presented.

Hi Shaeri, this is a great composition of the Eclipse. I love that you put 4 different steps. I looked at the eclipse last night but I wasn't succesful in the past taking picures of the moon so I didn't even try.
I knew there were going to be plenty of photos in TE today!!
Great job like usual!!!

Hi, Shaeri,
this is wonderful! I, too, took, shots at different stages, but yours turned out way nicer. I really like the way you put them all together. By the way? I was able to take shots without even wearing a jacket. Thought you might appreciate that. :)) Just teasing. Take care and thanks,

Hi Shaeri
Great shooting. I was going to attempt this myself but we had cloudy conditions so my shots were all grab shots when the clouds parted for a bit.

Hi Shaeri,
It sorted out quite well, specially considering the hardware used. It's very interesting, not only documentary wise, but also aesthetically. I forgot completely about it, but I am not that sad because the weather was quite cloudy here.

Hi Sheri,
A different shot from you. And you have passed the test with flying colors. I remember the diagrams of the eclipse on the geography book that we read in school. It looks pretty similar, except for the fact that this is a photo, not a sketch. Good try, good result.

Sagarneel.
PS- Thanks for the mail. I have sent you the reply in the mail thread itself.

not a shappy amateur attempt at sky photography. not shabby at all, my friend. looks like an illustration from an astronomy book. i especially like the amber colored stage.
unfortuntely, the sky was not cooperating here last night. but hey, i have you to show me how the eclipse proceeded :)

Hi, Shaeri -
This is a nice riff on the classic eclipse exposures taken all on 1 frame - which really only works on a solar eclipse; a lunar eclipse is too slow.
And it's nicely done!
Dan
(We had the eclipse here in SF, too, but it was partly overcast and I have a slight cold, so I missed it. Another reason to appreciate this submission.)

Hi, Shaeri. A very good collage showing the different stages of the eclipse. It's amazing to see how different the moon looks at the different stages? I was too lazy to get up to see it and, anyway, I think it was too cloudy here. So thanks for showing us.

I think some of the moons are more sharp than others and we can see the shape where you cut the image around the full moon in red, I think a PP could be nice there. Anyway I think I am not able to do an image like this, maybe one day.

Hi Shaeri,
Beautiful photo where we can follow the different stages of the lunar eclipse very well. I didn't see it, because it was 4 in the morning or so here in NL and I didn't want to get up that early (and I believe it would have been too cloudy anyway here), but I guess it could be seen a better time in the US and you took very well advantage of it. I find the result really impressive, thanks a lot for sharing!

Lars

Hi Shaeri,
A complete success! I have seen a few of the eclipse shots on TE these last few days. It was the southern hemisphere's turn to have the eclipse a few months ago, the whole family gathered in the back yard to watch the event. It moved faster than I expected. Not only is your photo visually interesting, it is also historic - in any given place it is rare to see an eclipse. I hope to one day see a solar eclipse! You have done well to capture this from NYC with all the surrounding light pollution. Terrific effort.

Shaeri,
there is something that I tired and didn't get at all. This looks at least interesting and well succeeded. I guess that it is time to get a better lens. The other thing is more preparation. I came back from work and the eclipse was already fully going on.
Good presentation!

Hello Shaeri
Now, this is something that I haven't tired and don't know whether I will succeed at all. get at all. Well succeeded in your effort...perhaps a longer zoom, a stronger lens. Tricky exposure, the long time coupled with the movement of the moon & the shadow, but admirable effort.
Best Wishes
