The calm has returned, a photo from Florida, South

Photographer's Note

Today as the sun sets here in the Canaveral Wildlife Refuge. The calm has returned as indicated by the reflections in the water of plant and sky. Hurricane Dorian just brushed up next to Florida. The Bahamas were not spared the wrath of Dorian. The Caralinas are now mopping up from being pummeled. I have missed the last four storms...Sandy 2013, Matthew 2016, Irma 2017, and now Dorian 2019. It is never pleasant to be in the path of these monsterous storms. my prayers are with the people of the Bahamas, and the Caralinas.

Hello Jimmy, Thanks God, you were spared. I can imagine your fear and feeling of relive when this disaster is over. The people of Bahamas were not so lucky. I saw some photos, not to imagine what the destructions there. Marvellous picture but the message is the most important.

Lovely, serene picture with great colours and superb reflections. THe situation (title) make the shot even more meaningful. The hurricanes going this place, lingering there, not going somewhere else...always someone's hell, other people's sigh of relief. Glad you're OK.

A fantastic nature picture but what a very tragic event. The photos I saw of the Bahamas were terrible.
Your photo here shows a very serene image.
I love the silhouettes of the many branches on the orange background.

I've been reading the news about what happend in the Bahamas, and it's really terrible! About the damage in the continent I didn't see too much, but such a strong hurricane is always a disaster. The image shows a quiet place that contrasts with the last days, I suppose, and the colors of the sky reflected on the calm waters are beautiful! Very nice job!
