Photographer's Note

Hurricane Wilma blew through Delray Beach, FL with winds over 120 mph. I was able to watch the 2nd half of the storm from my back balcony because the neighboring townhome was providing cover from the wind. It was an awesome spectacle. The winds tore trees from the ground, split huge limbs, kicked water 50 feet into the air, snapped power poles and lines, sent debris through windows, toppled trees onto homes and cars, and damaged almost every fence, shed, and screen porch in the area. Parts of South Florida are still waiting for their electricity to be restored, more than a week after the storm hit. Mother nature can exhibit an awesome power at times.
