Photographer's Note

I captured this image at sunset on the beach in Huntington Beach, California. The land in the background is the Palos Verdes Peninsula. I had to hide the sun behind the lifeguard tower so that I could get exceptional contrast.

Yeah, you did a great job. The shadows are so clear and interestingly posed. Well captured!

Beautiful, Mark! An excellent simple graphic image highlighting the essentials. I like the fact that the lifeguard is bending over, making a more interesting silhouette.

I do think you'd be better off with the horizon not so close to the center; you could crop off a chunk of the unneeded black area.

Hi thought this was a great image. I did a workshop on what I thought needed improving. I thought it needed a tighter crop (the whole rule of thirds thing) With HB's scenery a panoramic type of shot would be excellent. Hope you don't mind ;)
