The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels is the heart of all 287 Parish Churches and communities, it is the place where the Archbishop celebrates the major Liturgies of the year with clergy, religious and laity.

Standing in the midst of downtown Los Angeles, the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels serves the total Archdiocese of over 4 million Catholics. This cathedral was designed by the Spanish architect Jose' Rafael Moneo. This photo is a partial front elevation. The glass architectural element with the cross serves as a clerestory window that admits morning sun over the altar.

Not the most attractive of buildings (I'm not really a fan of modern architecture), but this is a really excellent architectural photo.
The composition is very good and the two ladies descending the steps add an important touch of life to the scene. I also congratulate you on getting the walls of the cathedral to appear vertical in the frame; so many architectural shots have converging verticals that can just don't look right unless its done well.
Although the light is a bit flat, I think it suits this kind of modern architecture.

Good architecture photo of this modern church, Andre. The shot is well framed to benefit from the graphical assets of the architecture including the foreground stairs, where I also like the human presence for scale and a lively detail. I hope you are enjoying the D200.

you notice immediatly your sensitive string for architecture that translate itself in this mavellous colored shot, very fine detailled with a soft touch, pefectly framed with thepeople on the steps. An excellent photo indeed.
