Great minimilist shot I love it. There is that soft feeling on the grass but the house is so sharp against the sky. Nice composition. An other alternative would be to crop at the bottom or preferably at the top but I like as well it as it is.

That sky is crying out for some white fluffy clouds, but in a way it adds to your description note. A real Ansel Adams zone V print.

I find this shot perfect as is. I like your choice of B&W, the composition, the wide empty space all around the house, as well as the sharpness of the house vs. the softness of the prairie and emptiness of the sky.

Further to Bill's comment, I believe it works better with a flat sky as 'white fluffy clouds' would add levity where it isn't needed in this case.

You would think I'd get tired of this type photo, I live in the middle of the same type scenerio. But no, I find this is a great shot. Leave the sky as is, leave everything like it is. Excellent. (Sad but true message with photo).

I like the toning, and the simple composition. Maybe you should crop a little bit the foreground, that's just my humble point of view

The thumbnail version is doing a diservice to this version. Great, great framing and composition. The house is at the right spot to balance out both the sky and the plain. One of your best Ned.

This is a wonderful photo of negative space! I like the way the barn is surrounded by the open field and the sky.

Simple an efficient. Perhaps the curve of the field top, the light and the wind coming from the right, the spotty roof, the even sky and field and no distracting details are making all togheter the charm of this shot. A beautiful harmony, Ned!

I really like this picture. The hairy-grass, cubic-house and greyish-sky. All this makes a dreamy-photo.. just like a dream, just like a dream. My favourite.

Simple and great Ned, a true proof of the less is more saying. A nice detail - note how the texture in the grass leans to the left so we can feel the wind blowing over the isolated plain.

Sometimes more is definitely less. Wonderful composition and I like it in B&W. Have you sharpened the house more than the grass? I also think it would make a splendid panorama.

Wonderful shot. A simple but powerful composition; I like the fact that there is a lot of open, unoccupied space within the frame, and I also like your off-center placement of the farm house. B&W is a great choice; both the grassy field and the farm house are sharp and clear. Well done!
