A birds eye view through the Lake Mead from Helicopter
The lake was named after Elwood Mead who was the commissioner of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation from 1924 to 1936 during the planning and construction of the Boulder Canyon Project that created the dam and lake.

In the upper left corner the small spot is another helicopter…

Great bird eye view point of this magnificent place. I love how you have taken the view virtually to the top of the frame with just the right amount of sky visible. It's a spectacular place, love the wonderful colours and contrast of this fabulous formations. The turqouise lake really pulls the eyes in and i like the way the mountain give the sense of depth and leads in and to far end. You certainly get a feel for the vast scale of the place from this height and love the effect created by the side lighting. Great detail and composition. The only draw back is, shadows fuzziness from the chopper is fairly visible, probably shallower dof and wider lens selection is able to eliminate this. Absolutely stunning work. nevertheless. Congrats

Hi Rui,

This is simply majestic. The vastness and the beauty of this place is unparalleled. Love the turquoise color of the lake and the detailed mountains. But for your note I wouldn't have noticed the spot of the helicopter, it's just a dot up there! And there's another white dot on the water - a motor boat? Amazing picture.
