I love the basic premise of this "polaroid" series as you know, Rosie. SO why am I not convinced by this one? It may be something as silly as the rows of shoes (feet) on the upper left - they irritate my eye somehow. Or maybe it's the too perfect alignment of doggie and the girl behind him, I just don't know. The flag is a nice, topical touch (a much overused, over brandished icon since 9/11 of course...)
I cannot make myself clear here, and yet something... The other two I commented on were an immediate "yes!" and Wham Bang, bravo, cool. Here I'm, kind of stuck but I feel I should like it more...than I do.
All the best,
Francis

Nope, don't agree with you here, Francis... the feet add to the sense that all the attention is on God's dog. I like it.

Hi Rosie,
For such pov (bottom-donw), the characters are more and less flattened, i'm not sure I would have prefer to see a little bit of the faces (the little girls or the dog looking up ;o)) and more frankly the feet in your framing.
The flags are key for me and add the context.
Thanks, Alain -

Good idea, Rosie, a good POV for a nice scene--the children from the POV of the dog owner (even though the dog isn't actually yours!) But I have to agree with Francis that something is missing--probably it's the fact we don't see any faces or emotions. Still good though. Regards, Ken.

Fantastic sense of color. Almost an abstract image, yet it is crowded with people, dog, feet, hands, head, hair...so much in such a simple frame. Excellent stuff.
[I disagree with Francis and Ken...I am charmed by this one, more for what it leaves hidden than for what it shows]

Hi Rosalie
nice picture, I like the poloroid framing, this POV is great and I like how you have all of the girl in the framing, the feet are also interesting.
Good job
