This photo weas taken one winter early morning. It shows the Grand Canyon view from the South Rim, near the NPS Visitor Center. Carved out by the Colorado River, the Grand Canyon is the most spectacular gorge in the world; it is the embodiment of nature's awesome power and surpassing beauty. Located in the state of Arizona, it cuts across the Grand Canyon National Park. The Grand Canyon is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River. It is 446 km long, up to 29 km wide and attains a depth of over a 1,800 m.

Hello Miro,
A fabulous view down to the depth of the Canyon, DOF in double meaning.
Frost on the slop is a new thing to me, but gave a feel of winter in there.
The place known for it's colors, here mingle under the morning sun, with a jolly good texture and fresh air quality.
Love the pic. adore the location, was there in 7/1978.

Hi, Miro,
I was here one week ago, I must to say the Canyon didn't change from 2003. Excellent quality, perfect DoF! Did you use a tripod? I can image your emotions when you see this place the first minutes... I wonder why 1073 people looked this image and only 3 of them got the comments... I saw many many bad pictures with impressive rating. Here is very strange system.

The wideness of the area is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of this area of the Grand Canyon. The good luminosity is bringing out the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.
