Hello Giorgio,
almost 8 years have past since you took this photo, and many more since the beginning of this problem and I think many more will do and the problem will stand, as the will to get to a resolution from those who have the power is none.
As so, and unfortunately, I think scenes like this one will keep on happening.
About your photo I like the way you present her with a very dignifying pose, and she seems so tired, maybe tired to fight against something she doesn't have the strenght to, maybe tired of so many years of unhapiness, who knows?
Cheers.

Hi Giorgio,
I congratulate you to have shown the courage to post political and sensitive issues. There are a lot other crimes around the world and we really don't want to see them and share them rather than drown ourselves in other indulgences.
As with the dates going back 8 years back its a nice reportage and documentary.
Regards
Tushar

Using black & white really works well here. No distraction from unwanted colours keeps the focus very much on the woman and the sign. Resignation, possibly defeat and a sense of overwhelming tiredness all scream out of the image for me.
The real sadness is that nothing seems to have moved forward in the years since this was taken. Sadder still is the thought that even if it had, some other area of the world would still be experiencing similar problems.
