Here's another view of Currituck Beach Light (also known as Corolla Light). This is the northern most light in North Carolina and the northern most of the Fabulous Four: Currituck, Bodie Island, Cape Hatteras, and Cape Lookout. All were built prior to our Civil War and had their first order Fresnel lenses removed by the Confederate forces to preclude their being used as navigational aids by the Union Navy.

Hi Robert - interesting history for this light; that the Confederates removed the lenses of these lights is fascinating, and not something I'd ever heard of happening. Nice shot of this one through the trees, in good light.

Hello Robert,

You placed the light house excellent between the green trees.
It's never easy take a high tower or lighthouse but you did excellent.
A very nice light and pleasant colors.
Nice composition good presentation too.
