Photographer's Note

Another view of the sunset in Pacific Grove, with a bird enjoying it as much as I was. I was pushing the limits of my camera, with no tripod, but it came out better than I thought it would.

Great contrasts here, and the bird is perfectly placed in the frame - it really makes the shot. Very nicely exposed as well, to get that perfect dusk feel. I would have straightened the horizon a bit, but that doesn't at all take away from the dramatic light and shadow, on the ground and in the air here.

hi Roger,
Nice colours here, and the bird is so clear in the capture. Normally if I get a bird in my shots, they are very pixellated and I end up cloning them out, so really nice to see this guy so clear and perfectly positioned.
