Photographer's Note
Soaring on the winds pushed upward by the escarpment of Vermilion Cliffs, the tiny black dot against the clouds is a California Condor. Released into the wild on the west side of the Vermilion Cliffs (about 20 miles away), a breeding, self-sustaining, population level is slowly approaching. The adult condors have a wingspan greater than 6 feet.
You will need to open in a new tab to see how the condor compares to the size of the cliff face.
Sky and cliffs adjusted independently (contrast and exposure).
