Photographer's Note
In time past, this little house was used to keep perishables cold by the coolness of the springs that feed the pond.. hence the term spring house. You can see another view of it from my pic of "across the pond." I am forever in love with the mix of old stone and new growth (for its semantic as well as textural contrasts) and I thought this scene portrayed that marriage nicely. I believe the springhouse and that tree are old friends.
This fine May day my cousin offered me her polarizer filter to play with, which I tried out for a few shots, this included. The greens were especially vibrant because of the strong sunlight, but I was surprised at how aggressively they lit up the photo. I thought of reducing saturation a bit for fear no one would believe this, but decided to leave it as is and field comments as they may come. Sharpening only.

How many shades of green are there in this photo?
Nice composition and a naturally photogenic subject. As for the polarizer, being a fan of this technique myself, I can completely believe the colours here... if you take the time to rotate the polarizer to max effect you can get some quite startling effects.

Oh no...there is nothing wrong with the green colors in this photo. When I look out my window on a sunny spring day like we had yesterday I see these bright shades. As a matter of fact, it is the vibrant green color that makes this photo so nice.

Bonjour Lisa
I can hear in my mind Tom Jones's interpretation of "Green Green Grass Of Home"!!
This bucolic tableau is beautifully enlighted, so one can enjoy a 3D effect due to high contrast..
Perfect picnic area!

Hello Lisa,
The green is so vibrant here, telling me your surroundings are very fertile...
That old tree is a fine element in your composition, as it provides shade for the little stone house!
Good colours all over, crisp image with fine details!
Greetings,
