Photographer's Note
Been looking for a good model for a photo of windows and fire-escape in NY. This is not such a typical setting (the windows don't usually look like that) but still a good one. I think the building was freshly painted.
Cropped, saturated and made some adjustments to the top and bottom.

Excellent shot - even the thumbnail jumped off the page. Wonderful shiny colours. The shadow is perfect. Well seen.

Love the colors and the texture of the bricks! Very well done! I was curious to try a different frame on this and have posted a workshop for you.

There is great impact in the black pattern of the fire escape and white window frames against the red brick wall. IMO this is one picture that is diminished by the frame. You have a very modern composition, and a very heavy, old-fashioned frame. If you were to put this on your wall, you could use thick gatorboard without a frame, that makes the picture stand away from the wall. It's a clean presentation that lets the red of the image contrast with the decor of your room. The frame just competes with the image for attention.

Is this wall red or what ? This shot is nicely framed, the colors are crisp and so are the details. Well seen!

That's wonderful, Liora. Seen some of this style lately (including my of my own), but this composition is very well designes, captured and framed. Strong and effective colors and contrast. See also my "warehouse" and Olli's "stairs. Well done!

What an excelent pattern! Colors are awsome and details very good, from the windows, the stairs and wall.
Great shadow also.

Very well built up composition and monochrome. The angle you have used gives some perspective, taken straight from the front it would have been more parallell and the verticals vertical and so on. I don´t know if that would have been better, just making a point that the effect had been different.

Stunning play with shadows and colour, I just love it, using just 3 colours, repeating subject matter and good composition plus thoughtful cropping has rendered a very fine picture worthy of any gallery, framing also is suitable and well thought out.
Bravo most enjoyable

Wonderful colours Liora. The shades helps to accentuate the composition. The white windows are the decisive factor for the perfect pic. The red glittering wall are amazing. One of your best pic. Congratulations.

Great shot! Really good relationship between the ironwork, the shadow and the frame. I also like the texture of the red bricks and in particular, the fact that it's not head on which would make it too flat. Interesting.

Very beautiful colours, I like the composition of your photo, the red, the black and the white get married well, besides the shade on bricks. It is very well found and made a success.
Très belles couleurs, j'aime la composition de votre photo, le rouge, le noir et le blanc se marient bien, en plus de l'ombrage sur les briques. C'est très bien trouvé et réussi.

Missed it, it's excellent - colors, composition the whole thing. Even the frame, that usually I personally don't like, is OK.
Very well done.

Dear Liora,
Beautiful.
But to add to the picture's strength I would have stretched the left side so that the verticals were parallel and rectangular to the whole picture as if you had viewed it straight on.
