Photographer's Note
San Francisco just after sunrise, while the sun is still low enough on the horizon to shine from below the fog onto the City's skyline. I was lucky to have my camera with me as I drove to work on that morning, as a summer day without a lot of fog or haze is a rare thing here and this was just such a day. The photo was taken from Ballena Point on Alameda island.
Technical: Image was enhanced by adjusting shadows/highlights for a more dramatic effect, was sharpened (too much so?), and was cropped to remove most of the rocky shoreline in the foreground.

Hi Jackie
wow, you have captured this at a great time with the dark lighting, the buildings look nice surrounded by dark water and a dark sky. Unfortunately, I did not take any good pictures like this of the skyline when I was there :(
great job

Hi Jackie,
I really love this view of San Francisco from a distance. The composition is well executed, the scenery is beautiful and the lighting is marvellous, giving a great atmosphere, also because of the dramatic cloudy sky. Really nice shot and good for you that you had the camera on this particulary day. It's not too sharp. There's a bit of noise, but not too much, as well (although you could remove it with NeatImage).
Best wishes,
Ricardo
