A snapshot at Hungerford on my way tracking "RICE in Texas".
Hungerford locates within Wharton County.
At the turn of the 19th Century, Wharton County became a mecca for Czech and Moravian immigrants, many of whom settled in the San Bernard River area.
Holy Cross Catholic Church of East Bernard has stained glass windows imported from Czechoslovakia.
The East Bernard Kolache Klobase Festival is held the second weekend in June. El Campo hosts a trio of polka events: the Texas Polka Music Festival and Awards, second weekend in March; Knights of Columbus Council’s Polka Fest in February and the Polka Bash in July. Czech Heritage Day is held in El Campo the last Sunday in June. (Source)

Dear Thanh,
There is a sharp contrast between this lively yellow flower and its gray surroundings.
Also good choice of title:"survived"!
