Hello George,

I saw the lunar eclipse in this configuration a little while ago, then completely full a short time later. I am impressed that you were able to post the image with such alacrity. I shot a photograph of the Austrian Alps last year and was able to post it within fifteen minutes from the airplane, and you may have broken my record.

hi george,
i missed this lunar eclipse as i have to work OT (not my choice definitely, but i have to!)
a clear and bright capture. TFS this not so often seen nature work.

Hello George! You were certainly fast! I waited until next day to check and edit some photos, as 5am wasn't a "decent" time to do that kind of thing (having slept only one hour...).
Your exposure is a bit bright (when shooting the moon I always try to do fast exposures with an aperture at about 5.6 or 8, which lets in a lot of detail; you can see the result in my gallery if you wish) but I love the halo around the moon, which I guess is clouds. It adds a mysterious air to it :-)
