Photographer's Note
We had a perfect view of the eclipse Wednesday night. Clear skies, warm enough to not need a heavy coat and my grandsons to watch it with me. That was pretty amazing. I didn't bother with EXIF data because these were all taken at different times and at different settings.

Hi Shelly,
WOW! AMAZING! You were clearly joking when you said that yours were not as good as mine!! Mine are nowhere close to you. The zoom is mindblowing, great timing too. I completely missed the one with the full moon. Thanks for sharing this, certainly the best of the eclipse shots in TE. Congratulations!!

Shaeri

Hello Shelly,
Oh how brilliant, very good presentation of this celestial event. I viewed a Lunar Eclipse last year; it was startling to see the shadow moving quite quickly. Good to see comet McNaught in the southern skies in that same year. I think this eclipse was not visible from 'my angle' downunder, but I have heard that this satellite the USA has blown up is set to re-enter over Australia which would be a spectacle worth looking out for. There is nothing else to say about this composite photo, it is exactly as you had hoped it would turn out as, I am sure!

Hi, Shelly -
Well, another great eclipse sequence! I'm starting to get real annoyed that we had too many clouds here in San Francisco to get good shots!

Hello Shelly,
The eclipse was at about 2am on our side of the world and I didn't bother to wake up in the middle of the night. Thanks for sharing what you saw.

Hello Shelly,
You did a fantastic job of both photography and of arranging the moon during the various phases of the lunar eclipse. Fortunately you had good skies, but our cloudy skies only allowed us an occasional fuzzy glimpse of the moon. I volunteered at the University of Colorado at Denver astronomy department so I would have been talking to the public anyway. I let a four year old girl look through my telescope (for her first time ever) to look at the top of one of Denver's skyscrapers and she thought that she was looking at a fairy or something. She was funny. Anyway, fantastic work and one that I am really jealous of! Outstanding work!

Hi Shelly,
Love the arrangement. Looks like you had as much fun as did!! It was freezing up this way! All of your images look amazingly clear and the light balanced well. Don't you love to see the fruits of our labor! Always, TFS

I also wanted to do a photocomposition of the eclipse, but sadly here in Munich it was cloudy yesterday. The nights before and even tonight we have clear skies. So is luck. You made all the pictures with the 70-300 mm lens or you used a telescope?

Jürgen

Hello Shelly! This is a very nice and complete view of the eclipse. Details and sharpness are very good, as well as your presentation. What is clear from the picture is that the red moon is the most difficult to take with the same sharpness because of the long exposure times; however, yours is more than acceptable!
In Spain, the eclipse started on the left of the Moon. I'm preparing a sequence myself which I might post; it'll be interesting to see the differences at both sides of the Atlantic.
Very good work! TFS and best regards,
Inés

WOW Shelly
This is really nice. You at least had clear skies. I tried and got some shots but only when the clouds parted a bit.
Well done.

Hi Shelly an excellent eclipse picture! The word (eclipse=ekleipsh) is Greece word and you produce from (Ec=ek and I am absent=leipw, ekleipsh) that it means I disappear=I am absent. With which way you collected your receptions I know, but I know that they are marvellous picture, I praise

Hello Shelly,
Nice work creating this collage of the different phases of the eclipse. Where I live the moon was visible all night and I took a serious look at the eclipse from my kitchen window. Unfortunately no pictures from me. Good work with the sharpness and exposure. This is awesome.
