Milky Masts, a photo from Queensland, East

Photographer's Note

I was in Hamilton Island, during the Regattas week, in the night the harbour was full of gorgeous sail boats.
These are the masts of a couple of them captured with the milky way.
Since I was without the shutter release remote I did a 60 sec exposure (a quite dark frame) then I boosted the gamma and the contrast to take out the milky way, due to some noise I turned it to BW.

This is a daring posting but I like it. The almost abstract composition, the BW and the noise create an interesting atmosphere.

Besides that it's so unusual for me to see the stars these days...

I guess I would crop part of the right, but at the same time I like the small mast there...
