Photographer's Note
This Australian Pelican seemed a little bored standing around on the rocks at Rickets Point.
Ricketts Point is a marine sanctuary on Port Philip bay in the south east surburbs of Melbourne. The sandstone rock extends from the shore and supports a wide variety of flora and fauna.

Wow! You have a fantastic camera and a great skill for capturing nature shots obviously! Lovely light here, but it's the sharpness and clarity of the bird that really makes this photo special.
Great work, Stephen!

hello stephen
impeccable quality! the definition and the details are simply amazing... especially considering the 'personality' of your 'model' :)) i'd love to see this post in much larger size than 800 pix.

Hi Stephen. Excellent detail, great light and a touch of humour. The eye is quite a clownish one and seems to suit the pose.Effective background. Regards. Klaudio.

Hello Stephen
I always found the pelican an interesting bird and funny with its long and baggy beak ;)
The blurred sea/sky make for a good BG on which the pelican stands out superbly... Light, colors texture and framing are just great! my compliments!
Cheers

LOL! I'm so tired after working shift work during the entire night and having to continue the next morning and afternoon, but this shot makes me completely awake. No yawning at all. Extremely well framed. Very sharp and crisp in every detail and then the blur in the background. Excellent shot!

Hello Steve,
I have always enjoyed looking at your wild life shots which inspire me to move in this direction with the acquisition of my new lens.
This shot of the white Pelican is really first classed, extremely sharp and detailed, beautiful contrast with the blurred blue ocean. I hope to get down to Ricketts Point one day to try my luck, mindful of the high benchmark you have set before me. Excellent work.

hi Steve
You've captured this one's boredom very well and this is a fantastic shot because of the blue backdrop which is geometrically aligned.
excellent work here.

Hi Stephen,
Wow what a fantastic photo of the pelican... the clarity is sensational - I like the blurred out background which lets the eye stay focused on the main subject.
Excellent work Stephen - well done!
Kind regards,
Dawn.
