Photographer's Note

At Yarra Bend Park lava flows from volcanoes millions of years ago met much older sedimentary rock, which stopped it. On one side of the Yarra river is basalt and on the other is a outcrop of layered sedimetary rock.

There I was trying to capture the patterns in the rock when this dammned egret flew in the way. So to those who think I post too many pictures of birds, take note, this is not a picture of a bird this is a picture of the rock :-).
