Photographer's Note

Another scan, here from a slide, as all my underwater pictures.
The sea life in Fiji is full of colours. Actually, the sea life in the Pacific Ocean has many more colours comparing to the Atlantic Ocean. Here you see some soft corals that we don´t find in the Atlantic. Its strong colours are beautiful. Hope you will like it.

Eu não faço mergulho mas também tive ocasião de ver corais lindos quando estive no Fiji aqui há uns anos. É um conjunto maravilhoso de ilhas. Só é pena que não se entendam politicamente e que os golpes de estado se sucedam uns aos outros.
Muito bonita e as cores fortes do slide com 10 anos não perturbam em nada. Gosto muito.

Hi Zeca. This is one genre of photography I never tried. Wonderful capture. The colours separate the undersea life from the blue BG well to give a 3D look to this shot. Good sharpness and detail also. Thanks for sharing.

it's something else Jose,
it's not easy to make a shot of a sea life. I have try it before, but had no succes,this is nice Jose, have a fine day.

Nice underwater image, the scan is good and the coral color tells about how attractive the place is, and being red it adds a nice glow against the water blue.

Eita, Fiji!! O camarada é exótico mesmo, hehe. Excelentes cores e composição em terços. Os peixes estão fugindo em formação!! Está tudo ótimo, só o flash talvez tenha sido muito direcional e intenso. Mais difusão talvez fosse melhor, não sei se era possível.

Oi Zeca, eu diria que não é nada fácil conseguir estas cores do fundo do mar, ainda por cima de um slide com 10 anos. O cenário é bem bonito e gosto especialmente do corais vermelhos e dos 3 peixes dourados mais próximos.

I love underwater photography.. I only tried it myself once but it didn't work properly ;-)
It was a camera for only one use. I just wanted to have the experience!

The dark red corals are beutifull, are well silhouetted again the light blue sea. Nice group of the orange fishes too.

It's not often that we see underwater shots in this site & perhaps you are one of the very few who've posted such pictures. Excellent colours of the underwater flora & fauna in their natural setting. Must say that the quality of the scan is quite superb!
