Photographer's Note
A very simple Fijian "bure", placed somewhere in the island of Taveuni, without any neighbour, without anything else but a hut. People like them live eating fruits, vegetables, fishes, the basic meal. We was on the way to the village of Lavena when I saw this shack and stop for a picture. Back to Brazil, I sent a copy of this photo to the woman. Actually, I sent copies for everyone I took any picture.
This is another negative scanned. It looks better when there are no sky!
Best regards,
Zeca

Zeca,

Jose,
what a classic scene of the local residence. Life if hard out there sometimes, but such a truly natural way of life, you build you house out of woods and hays that you find in your surrounding. Great depiction of odinary life. Excellent scanned quality. thanks

Olá Zeca,
fico aqui imaginando o cotidiano dessas pessoas.
Carlos

Wonderful notice and presentation.
Similar "houses" built from the same material I saw in Thailand, in Kanchanaburi.
I like the mood and composition very much Jose!

Hi, Jose.
Top quality for a scanned image, truly an excellent job. What you're presenting us with is a very interesting daily-life.
Love the contrast between the pristine jungle and those symbols of "progress" scattered all over in front of the hut. Man, Coca-Cola is everywhere!
Very nice, I like it a lot.
Have a good weekend, my friend. I'll be seeing you.
Ciao,
Fulvio.

Hi Jose,
another Fiji image, how nice! I love every single one of your Fiji images, really makes me want to see that place with my own eyes! Your version is really nice, the leaves in the upper right corner actually work really good here for your framing, not easy to make, out of the shade, but you did a great job. Lovely shot, thanks for sharing!
Take care
Mark

Ten year old, exactly a picture of yesterday.
Splendid daily life image, we see here the reality of this people. Almost a fairy-tale barn, a pity but reality!
Quality and colour are pleasant for look it.
Composition and presentation are very well. TFS.

Hello Zeca,
Very cool tonality, green is clearly seen. Captured very well a part of Fiji's local life with a good composition placed the tree in the foreground.
It's very good to send a copy of the photo to the person. That's an essential manner to take photos of person. i agree to you perfectly.
Have a nice day, Hisashi

Hi Jose
nicley scanned image, great daily life shot. Good composition and exposure handled well considering the harsh light and the fact that the woman is in the shade.
