Hi Adam,

This is great! Surface of the water looks almost like it would be covered with thin ice.
Timing could not have been better either - having the last (?) rays of the sun in the sky.

Hi Adam, this is one of the photos I'd like to have on my wall. It's a peace himself. Water reflection, stones in the sea and clouds add a lot to an overall composition. Perfect !

Adam,

Your two minute exposure certainly made this shot. It gives me the super peaceful feeling of watching the clouds gently caressing the mountain tops juxtaposed with the glassy lake surface. The rocks in the foreground are simply an audience watching the play of light. I absolutely love the moody blue color.

New guy question: Since the 5D has an RGB histogram ( I think) do you still need to use the "expose to the right" principle?

These seem to be your trademark shots.

Great colours and contrast on this one. Have you gone as wide as 17 mm on this one? Wonder how this would have looked with a little bit more of the sky.

Beautiful shot as always Adam. I think I prefer the foreground in this one compared to you previous Milford Sound upload. Did you take any in the vertical format?

If you were alone shooting this I would image it to be a super creepy place. Or that's the impression I get from this shot.

Another stunner from here Adam.Stunning wispy clouds in the centre and a real sense of being enclosed by the two 'giants' at either side of the frame-great composition and superb definition kept in the sky.

I love well done darkness ... this is just wonderful .. the exposure is great .. the control of that glow over the mountains is amazing .. the way the clouds and mountains interact in this exposure is just spectacular.
