Image of the tower of the Cathedral of San Isidro.

The cathedral of San Isidro is located in front of the Mitre plaza, where the previous image denominated Totals Thanks... Sidewalk Artist was captured.

The building, located in the neighborhoods of the place where -in 1706- Domingo de Acassuso erected the primitive chapel, is of neon-gothic style and was constructed, between 1895 and 1898, by architects Dunant and Paquín.

Their dimensions are: 19 meters of wide, 60 meters of large and the height of its tower is of 69 meters. It has three ships, vitraux of French origin and capacity for 3,000 people.

It lodges valuable images, among them two of San Isidro Labrador, one of who data of principles of century XIX and the other - from present time it comes from Spain.

There is a stature of Santa Maria de la Cabeza, century XVIII. The venerated relic more is a piece of the body incorrupt of San Isidro, sent by the king of Spain, Alfonso XIII, in 1929.

May 15 is commemorated the sainted celebration.
