Tiwanaku Ruins, a photo from La Paz, North

Photographer's Note

Another repost of a picture of my trip to the Andes, in which I've also tried to recover the overexposed sky of the original version.

Original note:

Tiwanaku is an important Pre-Columbian archaeological site in Bolivia. Tiwanaku is recognized by Andean scholars as one of the most important precursors to the Inca Empire, flourishing as the ritual and administrative capital of a major state power for approximately five hundred years. The ruins of the ancient city state are near the south-eastern shore of Lake Titicaca.

Tiwanaku is the nearest spelling to the original name in Aymara. In Quechua, the language of the Incas, it is called Tiahuanaco. Both languages didn't have writing before the arrival of the Spanish.

interessante essa vista desse sítio, e realmente deu uma melhorada boa no céu, embora tenha escurecido um pouco as pedras no primeiro plano. De qualquer forma gostei mais dessa versão.

a segunda versão ficou boa. a foto me fez voltar à manhã que conheci este local, me lembrei até de 3 turistas brasileiros armando o maior barraco no meio das ruínas, o guia boliviano sem saber o que fazer e eu morrendo de vergonha..
muito bom este pov clássico das ruínas. bom trabalho de restauro da imagem

Interessantes fotos geométricas. A textura das paredes ficou bem realçada, e o céu ficou muito bom. Gostei da lhama cuspindo para cima no fundo.

Olá Alexandre,

a luz ficou mais bem distribuída nessa aqui. Um avanço no photoshop. Gosto da simetria e do jogo com as formas arquitetônicas. Aquela obra ao centro fica como o ponto final da leitura da imagem. Parabéns!

Hello Alexandre,

It is always interesting to study the remains from ancient building techniques!
I notice the use of differently sized stones, obviously they took what was at hand without too much work...
Fine composition with the clever framing of the statue in the background!

Oi Alexandre,

A geometria desta construção é impressionante. Parece que as pedras são recortadas e colocadas de maneira a construir o muro sem falhas evidentes. É tão bem feita que já enfrentou inúmeros abalos sísmicos e permanece de pé. Gosto da simetria da imagem. Luz e cores estão muito boas também.

a nice shot of this beautiful country where we don't see seldom photos in TE.I think that is the first time that i see a photo from Bolivia.I like this presentation of the archaeological site,as the constructions on it.The huge entrance with the statue give us the effect of scale.Well done.

Una interesantisima fotografia magnificamente compuesta con estas terrazas y la estatua enmarcada en la puerta, no conocia muchas imagenes sobre las ciudades de esta cultura, con tu bonita foto y tu interesante nota ya se un poco mas.
Muy buen equilibrio de luz y bonitos y naturales colores.
