Photographer's Note

La Paz is at the highest elevation of the world's capital cities. As it grows, the city of La Paz climbs the hills, resulting in varying elevations from 3,000 meters to 4,100 meters above sea level. Overlooking the city is towering triple-peaked Mt. Illimani (6,438m.a.s.l.) snow-covered and can be seen from several spots of the city. The adjacent city of El Alto, at 4,200 meters above sea level, is one of the fastest-growing in the hemisphere.

The distance between the city and the mountain is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the mountains. The good luminosity is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Miro,

You're capturing well this landscape by a good composition, a good focus and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the city of La Paz and the surrounding geographical feature with the highland ups and down, and triple-peaked snowy mountain. La Paz is very attractive city for me because of its high elevation and the colonies which residents are living. However, I will not live in here because the air is very thin.

Known for its thin air, La-Paz is a popular mochileros destination, Miro, and no wonder - a stunning view of high terrain and the town, as we see on lower part, is on the edge of a beautiful rocks formations.
Excelent grand view, contrast and light well shown inspite the misty scenery. Impressive.

This is a stunning scene, Miro, and well-presented! I have always wanted to visit the "other" La Paz -- but my tastes are more suited to the sea-level city in Baja!
