Photographer's Note

With a population of approximately 30,000 people, Uyuni is the gateway to the Salar de Uyuni, Lagunas de Colores (Color Lagoons), the Geysers and the famous Árbol de Piedra (Stone Tree). The clock, located on the main street, a few meters from the city hall, is one of the most used images to represent the city. It started operating in 1930 and has become a symbol of this county.

There are tow towers in juxtaposition on this pic., gave excellent sense of depth, and shown interesting details, Alexandre.
The clock-tower is wonderfully shown in fine details, along with vivid street scenery.

A beautiful capture of the town scene with your interesting foreword. The tower really pulls the eye into the whole scene supported by such immaculate detail, subtle colours and people's participation. There are at least three good focal-points in this photo. First of all the yellow tower, then also the real clock tower in the background, and between them the colourful parasol. These three elements, plus the street between them, also give the photo fine depth. The colours are good, the sharpness is excellent, and the nice nearest tower is well framed by the trees.

I like the composition, which creates an interesting juxtaposition between the two towers. Also, the graphism contributed by the bare trees waiting for their foliage to return. Agreeable lights and colours and very good sharpness.

Hi Alexandre,

The yellow, buttery cream clock tower, contrasts well against the blue sky. A pity it is fenced off from this pov as a line of perspective would have been the icing on the cake. Good color sharpness and saturation. Tfs!

I have to say, I don't know much about Bolivia as a country, so its nice to see it here on TE once in a while.

the blue sky at the top of the image is a sweet compliment to the yellow clock tower, they go so well together. and the tower itself is quite elegant even if it isn't that tall.
Hope to see more from this city. the bg looks like it has some interesting buildings. cheers

A beautiful clock tower, it is really a nice view of the town, it is a nice moment to take this photo, in a few weeks the tree will have leaves and will cover the tower, very well captured

Magnífica composicion vertical, con esta curiosa torre, que no se si se construyo, para alojar el reloj ó ademas tenia algun otro uso, resulta muy fotogenica aqui entre las ramas de los arboles, bonita perspectiva con la calle que vemos detras y al fondo otra torre.
Magnífico color, lo cual da mucho atractivo a la imagen.
Muy buena la luminosidad y perfecta nitidez.

A foto tem camadas interessantes, com o banco mais à frente, as cercas logo e logo depois essa interessante torre amarela e a cidade mais ao fundo, com o que parece ser uma igreja. Cores e luz muito boas. O céu também tem um aspecto bonito.

Charming town, but what matters the most is of course that it is a base for quite extraordinary landscapes.

já estive na cidade, mas não me lembro do relógio. lembro que fui ver os trens abandonados e minha amiga brasileira entrou em pânico e acabamos não vendo quase nada.
bela foto mostrando a simplicidade do lugar. lembro q tomei o busão aí e passamos por uma cidade relativamente grande sem energia elétrica, algo impactante, além dos moradores.
PS: pois é, as fotos q estou postando ainda são do resto da viagem passada, ainda vou apresentar fotos da minha cidade e região e só depois vou postar as fotos deste ano. minha viagem foi para o reino unido.
