Photographer's Note

The municipality of Presidente Figueiredo is the land of waterfalls in the state of Amazonas and has popped up for ecological tourism due to its more than one hundred catalogued waterfalls, as the Araras Waterfall, shown in the picture, in the middle of the forest.

Unlike what is thought, the name of the municipality is a tribute to João Figueiredo, president of the province of Amazonas at the time of the Empire. The intention was to make a tribute to the ex-president of the Republic, João Baptista de Oliveira Figueiredo, but this one, perhaps for knowing of his low popularity, didn't accept it. After all, one of his most famous phrases was: "Please, forget me"!

Nitidez, exposição, profundidade e cores estão excelentes! Ponto de vista muito bem escolhido e uma composição acertada e eficiente, que nos traz resultados visuais bem atraentes, mostrando de forma primorosa essas quedas amazonenses! Sou fã de cachoeiras, principalmente vendo aquelas não muito conhecidas ou divulgadas!

simples e agradável composição. Eu sempre achei difícil o controle de exposição em mata fechada. Aqui o resultado é convincente. O 1/20 de segundo também foi acertado. Criou um efeito belo sobre a cachoeira. Belo registro!

A F828 faz a diferença quando se fala em cores. Aí está uma cachoeira lindíssima no meio da floresta. Infelizmente não cheguei até aí. Já estava cansada e com um pouco de preguiça. Fiquei na outra cachoeira com a Karin, Isabel e as borboletas. Parabéns pela linda imagem. Abraço

o f/2 te salvou aqui, pois tava no limite da velocidade, embora um f/stop mais alto e mais velocidade criaria um efeito mais interessante na queda d´água, mas sem tripé fica difícil. Boa captura de cores também.

Eu não sabia que tinha cachoeiras no amazonas (lá não é planice), bem interessante essa foto. A luz está excelente para uma foto no interior da mata.

You have captured here a small but beautiful water falls in jungle. Slow shutter speed acts well here. Nice contrasting greeneries near the falls. I can hear the shore of falls and smell the dampness of that place. Tfs.

Bela cachoeira, o efeito das águas ficou muito bom, não dá nem para ver se a água está subindo ou descendo. Belas cores, o cheiro da água e do mato ficaram execlentes. O barulho também ficou perfeito. A foto ficou tão perfeita que um mosquito até me picou. Bom travalho, paravéns!

il es très difficile d'obtenir des farfaites lumières dnas les sous-bois et je trouve avec cette photo ci, que tu t'en es bien sorti et capturé des lumières impeccables. Le temps de pose élevé, donne un bel effet de filé à la rivière.
C'est judicieusement cadré.

Good use of the shutter speed to show us the force of the water in the falls here. The slightly diagonal compo. helps as it creates depth. I admire the sharpness you achieved with such wide an aperture. Good graphic effect of the trees as well

Maravilhoso local para ouvir o som da água caindo sem cessar. Gosto de ver as árvores que permanecem no centro da água talvez formando um género de ilhota. Vista do ar a pouca altitude mostrará sem duvida toda a sua dimensão. É essencial manter intacta toda esta natureza natural e espero que acabem de vez com a devastação da Amazónia. You had masterfully collected the ambiance of the location, with good clarity, just a pitty you were not able to convey the roar of water downstream.
