Irrigation Field, a photo from Bahia, Northeast

Photographer's Note

Traveling through the extreme North of Minas Gerais, I decided to make a tour through the "Sertão" (Portuguese term for backcountry or backlands) of Bahia. As I was going towards the North, the "cerrado" (tropical savanna) gave place to the "caatinga" (a dry type of vegetation) and the landscape started losing its colors. Among so much dry landscape, I found this irrigation field that looked like an oasis.

Olá Alexandre,
Está muito bem fotografada. Mas não consigo identificar as plantas. Talvez feijão.
Sertão, cerrado, caatinga. Nunca entendi bem a diferença entre essas palavras (nunca procurei saber), mas com a nota fiquei um pouco mais esclarecido.

Olá Alexandre,
interessante mesmo essa foto e como tem um local exatamente como esse em Montalvânia, hehe. Só acho que poderia ter diminuido os tons verdes da imagem, ficaram muito fortes, eu fiz em WS corrigindo isso, mas pode ser calibração de monitor também.

Eu acho que os tons de verde fizeram um belo contraste com o marrom da terra. No meu monitor eles não estão muito fortes, mas pode ser que, de acordo com a Ciência,(último Globo Repóter) o verde que eu vejo pode não ser o mesmo que os outros vêem.Sabe-se lá. Bela foto do sertão nordestino.

estos extraños "aparatos" que en realidad son máquinas de riego, son muy habituales también en España.
Bien captado su trabajo, podemos ver cómo sale el agua pulverizada de sus enormes brazos y cómo crea el efecto de arco iris.
Me gusta la luminosidad y el color de tu foto.

An interesting documentary of the hardships of farming in dry periods!
I notice the long line of irrigating devices, and of course the basic condition is that water is available not too far away...
I even think I can see a hint of a rainbow..!

Cada vez mais bocas para alimentar ...
Creio que alguns lugares, com um bioma diferenciado, deveriam ser preservados como parques nacionais. O resto tem que ser do tipo agronegócio, senão o país jamais vai alcançar o primeiro mundo. Excelente POV, o mecanismo de irrigação criou uma ótima perspectiva e também um arco-íris refrescante. Adoro ver um campo cultivado.

Este sistema de rega também é utilizado aqui. Gosto de ver e por vezes quando vou de automóvel e não paro para fotografar fico com a ensação de ter perdido uma boa paisagem. Os jactos de água sempre criam efeitos especiais tipo neblina com arcos-iris etc. O sistema pode ser muito bom mas eu penso que por onde passam os pneus poderá haver esmagamento de plantas. A não ser que nesse sítio seja apenas carreiro ou trilho de passagem. Imita sem dúvida a chuva. Gosto de ver o verde deste campo e as vastas paisagens do Brasil me são familiares. Ainda há pessoas que investem neste domínio. É bom para os novos jovens que ainda contam com alguns anos pela frente. Boa nitidez com um pequeno arco-iris. Cumprimentos. Domingos

Great capture of the irrigation mounted on wheels,its length gave good sense of depth to the compo. The little rainbow added extra warm color to the whole.
