Splashing Wild!, a photo from Parana, South

Photographer's Note

As a sport fisherman, I am always going to the ocean's blue waters with my father, where I can live some of the best moments in my life...
Even when we don´t catch any nice fish, I can have some real fun capturing the wild life with my camera. Sometimes a bird, sometimes a dolphin... sometimes a fish and tight lines!!! I don´t care... its all marvelous! I feel privileged, a prize winner, just to be there.. for many reasons...

Great action shot. Very beautiful and quite amazing. I love how the water splashing up under the dolphin's tail was captured. Everything is clear and sharp.

Linda foto, mas legal é a água atrás dele (do barco creio eu) que deu idéia ótima da velocidade que eles nadam.

Zeca, confesse pra gente que esse bicho é uma engenhoca nipônica que vc soltou nas águas especialmente para essa foto rs! Falando sério, eu nem sei o que dizer, pois vc conseguiu produzir um trabalho muito especial e surpreendente, com detalhes artísticos que seriam teoricamente difíceis de captar na fração de segundo que deve ter sido utilizada para concretizá-lo. A super shot Jose! Excellent capture of the dolphin itself, but the sea in my opinion is even better - I love the blue colour tones, and the hint of sea bed that is visible.

Hi Zeca. When fishing here, we always knew when the dolphins were about the tuna weren’t far away. But dolphins are much more than good indicators of gamefish, they are worth seeking out just for their own company. Great photo. You have just the essentials and no more, the dolphin, the glassy water and the spray. Nice dynamics also. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jose, what a picture ! :)))
My father is an inconditional of dolphin and i think i inherit that from him ... Your picture is perhaps one of the bset shot of dolphins here on TE, i have one that i put in my favs a long time ago which is same quality.
At 1/500sec you fixed so well the sea, the blue is also deep and all is sharp.

This is almost like a painting with the interesting colour of the water created by the reflection. Good movement of the splash and that nice shiny dolphin in the middle. My daughter is next to me looking and has fallen in love with the dolphin :-)
