Twins, a photo from Parana, South

Photographer's Note

When we are fishing in the ocean, sometimes we can take some pictures of dolphins, but we always can capture some sea birds.

Those here are "Atobás" or "Mergulhões" (Sula leucogaster) and they usually are signs that we use to find fish, just because they eat the same that big fishes eat. ;-D
This nice birds use to dive from 30 feet high to catch their fishes underwater.

I add some extra saturation to enhance the blues and specially some extra brightness and contrast, trying to have something a little bit more artistic than natural. But, anyway, I think that nature is all...

I love bird photos and this is a great one. They are flying so closely together it looks like their wings are crossed. I like the composition with the bird pair well placed and caught wonderfully in action. I like the gray of the birds against that pretty blue water, too. I really enjoyed this one. Many thanks,

Beautiful capture of these two atobás flying above the magnificent blue sea with shining reflections. I like as well the texture of the water, light and colors. It goes to my theme 'more fav.pictures'.

Hi Jose, nice composition,good colors on the sea the colors caused by the waves movement, gives the image a feeling of movement to.I like how you have captured the formation of the
Atobas though they could be a tad more sharp for me.

Linda composição e de difícil execução. Fotos em movimento e com diferenças de tons como aqui é facil haver super ou sub exposição, mas voccê tirou nota 10 Zeca.

Zeca, a compiscao com o colocamento dos mergulhoes no canto esta perfeito. O PP tb ficou muito bom. Eu nao tenho problemas com brightness and contrast a mais. Muito pelo contrario! O unico detalhe e a falta de uso de um filtro polarizante. Os reflexos estao um pouco demais. A nitidez dos passaros poderia estar um pouco mais agucado.
