Photographer's Note
Santo Antonio do Pinhal is a small town close to Campos do Jordão. We've done a touristical short trip by an old railway that starts at Campos do Jordão and ends at this little town.
Here one can appreciate a quite impressive view from the valley, that I'll post during the next days. We are at 1100/1200 metres above the sea.
But as you can notice, the view is seen from the top of this old stairway. Don't ask me why this bench is here! From it you just see the train station... But it seems to be there for a long time.

That bench is, indeed, a curiosity. I like how you situated it in your composition. You also provided a good glimpse of the view one doesn't see when they are sitting upon that bench. Perhaps it's there as a resting place after climbing all those steps.

It's a very pleasant place Augusto, I love old stones and I'm delighted here. Nice view of the valley in the background.
I like Linda's explanation about the bench ; but anyway, even if this bench has no real use, you know what snob people use to say ? If it is useless, it is absolutely indispensable... ;-)

Maybe it's for the train spotters? Nicely balanced composition, Augusto. I'm glad you showed us more of the crumbling old steps than the view!

Intresting way you have chosen to display this Augusto , the line of the fence being central is a wise choice as it frames both sides of the elements quite nicley,( almost 2 shots for the price of 1 ) good colour ,lampost is a bonus, look forward to more views .

Guto, you series of SAPinhal is just great: in this pic, i like a lot the way you play with the strong colors: on the right, warm tones of brown/earth. in the middle, the generous tones of green and on the left, the refreshing blue, which gives us a lot of room to dream.
Congratulations, once again.
