Photographer's Note
The image of Lord of Bonfim "Nosso Senhor do Bonfim" has been brought as a promise made by the sea and war captain of the Portuguese navy, Theodozio Rodrigues de Faria, after surviving a severe storm to bring the image of Brazil to his devotion.
In 1923 , by reason of the celebrations for Independence of Bahiathe Hymn to the Lord of Bonfim was composed authored by the poet Arthur de Salles and John Antonio Wanderley . This song became very popular in Bahia until today .

Hi Rui, Proper exposure resulting to such beautiful image with original colours and light. The interior design is well captured with details. The table on the right side and the benches lead to the altar give sense of depth to the composition. The silver green tones fill the whole church with glory. Thank for sharing
