Photographer's Note

This is my second in a series of photos about the children of San Cipriano. San Cipriano is a small village two hours outside of Cali. There is nothing really unique about the village aside from the train tracks to lead to it. The tracks have long been abandoned and the locals have made carts that will fit on them and take them to where they want to go. More on that later.

The children of the village are all dark skinned and it is very striking when you come from Cali. The people of Cali are mostly all light skinned and resemble Europeans and boasts some of the most beautiful women in the world. The village itself is very poor but the children don't seem to might. They are all very cheerful and jubiliant. Like all children they chase people with cameras to take their photos. This little girl didn't seem to care though and I think I surprised her a little. I assume that she just finished eating. I hope you like it. Tomorrow I will post another in this series.
