Photographer's Note
Another shot I found of the Sally Lightfoot crab, this one doesn't have that interesting a compo, and because the crab was moving towards my camera I accidently cropped out part of one leg. I'm posting this as to show you the colours of this beautiful crab in a "closeup". I used ISO 100, and no tripod which made the shot a bit blurry, I've tried sharpeneing it in PS, but no other postpro, just pure natural colouring.

She is lovely Line,
Good composition, good colours, it's only a shame that you dont have his firs leg on the photo, farther beautiful, good one.

Wow! great close-up. Lovely colours and perfect background, composition and angle. I don't mind that one leg is cropped.
Have to see Galapagos some day!

Superb photo Line, particularly the close-up of the crab's eyes. I also like the slightly unconventional way you have left space at the top of the photo, giving it room to breathe. But the best feature of this photo, without a doubt, is the colours.

Very interesting animal this crab. The color of it is really nice and I like how you focus on it really make it jump out of the screen. Good work!

See, I have no clue how to shoot animals/critters/birds etc. I don't even know how to compose an image with such a subject matter, so I have to learn from others before trying out the subject on my own.
What I like here is how low you went to capture the crab. The DOF is perfect and the colors are superb. I don't mind that the leg is cropped...this is quite a stunning shot all on its own. Great stuff. Thanks for the photography lesson.

hey
my first reaction is "wwwwwwwwoooooow"
look at the eyes
this is a beautiful portrait
it seems like you used a very strong depth of field. you said you dreamt of staying in jungles and all. me too. lots of people who i know still hunt. i dont like the idea of hunting. but i like the spirit of adventure. one of my momd friends killed a man eating tiger or a leopard, i cant remember. and i've grown up reading "jim corbett" stories . try to get your hands on a "jim corbett" book
youll love it
take care :)

Must have been a once in a lifetime experience to visit this place ;-))
Did you leave your beautibox on the beach in the evening and then came back in the morning to check the result? :-))
Excellent capture, only there's a bit of noise in the background. NeatImage can take this out easily.

Amazing colours on this crab. The blurred background works real good here setting off the crab. Nice composition too.

Wow! Impressive picture. i would only like to see this with wider lens / bigger distance - generally without legs cropped. Greetings

Good vinkel, en lille smule tæt beskåret i venstre side. Flotte farver, hvem er makeup artisten:-))

well this it it... nature just freaks me out now... what can possibly be the function of pink eyes??? In the Netherlands we have a saying; seeing everything thought pink sunglasses. it means beeing alway optimistic.
but pink eyes, no-one can beat this...

Cute one, indeed. Too bad for the tighed crop, there's too much of nothing at the top... but I'm very fond of this little thing!
