This is awesome!
The strip of water at the back and the blur at the front really add to something that would only require these simple additions.
A fantastic first post.
Welcome to trekearth!
Great job!

HOla Maykel,

Very nice shot. Reminds me of Mister Crabs hehe. Good DOF and sharpness. Personally, I would have leveled the horizon according to the waterline. Good job and welcome to TE

Hi Maykel,
GREAT first picture... I like the focus on the crab a lot..and the color is great.
a few tips...
I have a few tips for you for TE,
-be involved, because the more comments, critiques, workshops, etc. you give to others, the more the others will give to you. This way, you can also interact more with the community, get more feedback, and get better at photography, and even though you might not be serious at photography, any comments/critiques/workshops will indirectly help you when you take pictures, which is good.
-You can rate notes and critiques as useful if you learned something from them...because therefore they are useful. Rating these are only a click away!
-Take advantage of the maximum 800 pxl limit for pictures. Small pictures do not show detail. Also, I do not like really large pictures where you have to scroll down to see the whole thing, because then you can not see the whole picture at once, and you can not get the overall perspective and feel. You did a good job with the size.
-Try treating the picture you are about to post to your best capability, because then you can truly learn what you need to learn, because...for example... if you know that a picture is not sharp, then you do not really learn anything by when all of the comments say 'this picture lacks sharpness' or something of that sort. This way, you can truly learn what you should.
-Always provide a note, because it tells us the purpose of the picture, and why you took it. It tells the story, and we can learn more about the subject in that way.
-for other information, read the 'about' section...(this is the link)
Good job..
stay active, and I'm looking forward to more posts of yours!
Regards,
--Rahul

Fantastic snap - I love the DOF, the angle, and overall perspective. I've seen many crabs, but never one with a square body! Nice work!

What a beautiful and charming little creature. Hehe. You succeeded very well with framing the crab with an harmonic background and colours in this photo. Nice work!
