Photographer's Note
I was trying to shoot a popcorn stand man across the street when this truck pulled up. My eyes fell instantly on the little girl. After I took the shot, the man closest to man demanded money for the photo I just took. Scrambling through my pockets to pull out coins, the truck just sat and waited. Cars behind them were getting frustrated and started honking. I was only able to pull out about $.25 USD in coins. They seemed content and drove off after I handed them the money.

such a cute little girl. the man with the mustache doesn't look nice though... nice shot. when I read your note, I thought you gave them 25 dollars, so I was shocked ! :)

why have I just started seeing your pictures recently? have you been taking a break?
I like this one but with some reservations. I wish to heck you'd arranged it so that the entire window frame was in the picture, or, better, none of it. The photo has a wonderful juxtaposition of faces -- the slightly sinister men and this very innocent girl. The colours and lighting are bang-on. i think the best photo would have been taken over the side-door mirror there, with you sticking your lens right in their cab. Anyway, good capture.

I like that you give all priority to the people in this shot where the rest of the compo is only supporting this with a good DOF on the mirror. I hope that people would always be more important in photographie then compositions.
Thanks Mark for showing us.

the best compliment that i could give you is this
personally i find nothing wrong in the composition at all
the change that i'd like here is the depth of field, i think you need a deeper DOF to include all the faces in focus. while the girl is sweet, the best part of this photograph for me is the look of the man in the foreground. it is so carefree, very latin american in a romantic way. perhaps that's why this reminds me so much of alan harvey's photograph, not just because of the composition, but mainly because of the attitude of the man here
on the whole i think this is a terrific photograph
take care :)
