Photographer's Note

Located 15 Km from the city of Jaisalmer, this is a part of the palace of Amar Sagar where the rulers of Jaisalmer used to come in summer to escape the heat of the city.

Amar Sagar, as the name signifies – there used to be lake in here, a small pretty lake adjacent to the 17th century palace. But now it’s a vast open field where local shepherds rear their goats.

Tried to use the tree in the centre which looks like a mummified skeleton with its roots all over the ground, as a 'pivot' for this picture! I understand that after the rainy season, there would be some water in this arid lake-bed. In the far BG, the new age Wind machines, which surrounds the golden city!
