Encounter of a walrus on an ice shelf around the island of Moffen.
On the island lives a small colony of walrusses. Moffen Island is situated in northern Svalbard near the Wijdefjorden. The island itself is a protected nature reserve and it's not allowed to enter or anchor near it. In norway, walrusses are a protected species since 1952. Since then, their number has been slowly increasing.

great composition for a nice picture. The walrus is beautiful, The frame is very good with the animal on the left and the large view of the sea in background.
